Branding for Hospitality & Retail Spaces

Your café, restaurant, or shop needs more than beautiful interiors—it needs a brand identity that works in harmony with your physical space.

We partner with interior designers to develop comprehensive brand strategies for hospitality and retail environments. While your designer creates the space, we build the visual identity and brand systems that make your business recognizable and memorable.

What We Create:

  • Brand strategy and positioning that reflects your values and resonates with your target customer

  • Visual identity systems (logo, colour palette, typography, graphic elements)

  • Packaging design for takeaway items, retail products, and branded merchandising

  • Menu design and printed materials that are both functional and on-brand

  • Signage systems and wayfinding that guide customers intuitively through your space

  • Marketing collateral including business cards, loyalty cards, gift certificates, and promotional materials

  • Social media templates and digital assets that extend your brand online

  • Brand guidelines to keep everything consistent as you grow

How We Work:

We've streamlined this process to save you time and eliminate the back-and-forth between separate teams. Through regular collaboration with your interior designer, we ensure brand decisions and design decisions inform each other. You get one unified vision, not two competing aesthetics fighting for attention.

Why This Collaboration Works:

When branding and interior design are developed side-by-side, every element reinforces your story. Your brand colors inform material selections. Your visual identity influences architectural details. Your messaging shapes the customer experience. The result is a cohesive, Instagrammable space that customers recognize and return to.

Streamliners Espresso Bar needed to stand out in a city where the only coffee option was Tim Hortons. The owner wanted to bring directly-traded specialty coffee to the community—but first, she needed to improve her curb appeal and draw customers in from the street.

We developed bold Art Deco-inspired branding that honoured the city's deep roots in the train industry, then translated it into eye-catching storefront design. Vibrant turquoise and peach window graphics, clear wayfinding signage, and cohesive exterior branding transformed the space into a destination that announced its presence from down the block.

The result is a storefront that stops foot traffic, signals quality, and makes it clear this isn't commodity coffee.

Black Dog Cidery started in a wild apple-rich region where the owners experimented with cider-making at home. When friends couldn't get enough, they knew they had something worth sharing beyond their backyard.

We developed the brand identity and visual system for their expansion, naming the cidery after their dog, Desmond. The bold, graphic dog silhouette became the cornerstone of the brand—memorable, approachable, and impossible to miss on a crowded shelf or in a busy taproom.

The result is a brand that honours its homegrown roots while looking polished enough to compete in the craft beverage market.

The owner of Bake Shop Studio is a talented baker who knew exactly what she wanted—but couldn't find a designer who got it right. After discovering Eye Candy Design on social media, she reached out for a custom branding solution that would match the quality and care she puts into her baking.

We developed a detailed, handcrafted logo with intricate border work that feels both artisanal and refined. The circular mark translates beautifully across all touchpoints—from packaging to storefront signage—giving her business a cohesive, professional identity that reflects the precision of her work.

The result is branding that feels as custom and thoughtful as her baked goods.

Mistyglen Creamery, a family-run dairy farm in Belmont, Ontario, needed to launch a direct-sale operation in a market dominated by mass-produced dairy. They had the premium product—whole, non-homogenized milk from their own herd—but needed branding and a retail environment that would communicate quality and justify the premium price.

We developed a comprehensive brand system starting with sustainable reusable glass bottle packaging, then extended the visual identity into their on-farm retail store and delivery vehicle. Bold graphic elements, including a distinctive diamond pattern and cow silhouette, created immediate brand recognition across all touchpoints. The interior space balanced rustic farm authenticity with modern, clean design—reinforcing that artisanal doesn't mean unpolished.

The result is a cohesive farm-to-consumer experience where packaging, space, and vehicle all tell the same premium story.

Guerrilla Burger already had strong branding—but their second location needed to work harder to build recognition in a new neighborhood. They partnered with us and an interior designer to translate their established brand into a space that would stop foot traffic and reinforce their made-from-scratch, wildly delicious positioning.

We developed comprehensive environmental graphics that brought the brand to life across every surface. Bold window decals with playful brand messaging doubled as both decoration and advertising, visible from the street. Interior wall graphics reinforced key brand values while creating an energetic, Instagram-worthy atmosphere. The result was a space where branding and design worked together to create an experience as memorable as the food.

The second location now matches the energy of the original while establishing its own presence in the neighbourhood.

Glassroots, a plant-based restaurant, needed a cohesive brand identity and interior that felt welcoming and intentional—all on a seriously limited budget.

We developed branding that balanced approachability with the restaurant's food revolution mission, then worked alongside the owner to bring the space to life through resourceful design choices: a statement wall of vintage mirrors, genuine cast-iron farmhouse sinks in the bathrooms, the owner's personal collection of kitchen utensils displayed as lobby art, and rich verdant green walls that reinforced the plant-forward concept.
